About the position

As a Staff SRE Engineer at Zinnia, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and systems that support our applications and services. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, and efficient, while driving automation and optimization of our infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development of enterprise platform solutions that provide consistent and secure methods for developers.
• Support developers from other teams by providing DevSecOps best practices.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure platform stability and security.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform and Spacelift.
• Ensure proper documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and policies.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for production systems.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the platform.

Requirements

• 8+ years of SRE experience, DevOps Engineer, platform engineering or similar role.
• Experience in developing and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with DevSecOps tasks including environment provisioning and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Effective strategic thinking skills and strong communication abilities.
• Expert level troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Extensive experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Spacelift is a plus.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in infrastructure as code.
