About the position

The Staff Software Architect at EverCommerce will play a crucial role in the modernization of the DrChrono platform, focusing on driving and documenting the architecture for next-generation offerings. This position requires collaboration with customers, leadership, and various teams to deliver high-quality, intuitive products that address customer needs, particularly in the healthcare IT sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable cloud-based software solutions and will be responsible for defining technical strategies and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Drive key analysis of existing products
  • Innovate and drive process improvements when needed
  • Document existing architecture
  • Contribute to and influence architectural governance
  • Drive increased efficiency across teams, eliminating duplication and leveraging product and technology reuse
  • Performance and stability troubleshooting for existing products
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for product enhancements
  • Help drive accuracy in team estimation and story pointing
  • Key resource for determining architectural requirements for enhancements and sustaining efforts
  • Work with engineers/architects to develop multi-phased software technology plans

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in full-stack healthcare application development
  • Proficiency in technologies such as Java, C# / .NET, Ruby, JavaScript
  • Solid understanding of REST, HTTP, JSON, APIs, RDBS, and SQL
  • Experience in iOS or Android hybrid application development using React, Ionic, or similar
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud technologies
  • Deep fluency in software development methodologies
  • Proven track record of working successfully with a professionalized product delivery operation
  • Experience in the Healthcare IT space, including HIPAA compliance and information/security requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or significant work-related experience
