Responsibilities

• Engage with complex business challenges to harness modern tools and technologies for data management.
• Build and optimize data pipelines to securely store, process, transform, and enrich large-scale healthcare data.
• Collaborate with the Data Science & Products team to understand operational workflows and requirements.
• Make architectural decisions on both UI and backend systems.
• Solicit complex requirements and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
• Independently manage deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with Big data and cloud architecture.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience building modern data pipelines within a major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• 4+ years of experience with deployment/scaling of apps in containerized environments (Kubernetes, AKS) and serverless compute services.
• 7+ years of experience with real-time and streaming technology (Azure Event Hubs, Azure Functions, Kafka, Spark Streaming).
• 2+ years of experience working with LLMs and other Gen AI models.
• 5+ years of experience soliciting complex requirements and managing relationships with key stakeholders.
• 5+ years of experience independently managing deliverables.
• 7+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• 7+ years of experience with Python or a comparable scripting language.
• 7+ years of experience with ETL/ELT processes and building high-volume data pipelines.
• 7+ years of experience with query optimization, data structures, transformation, metadata, dependency, and workload management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in designing and building data engineering solutions in cloud environments (preferably GCP).
• Experience in API/Microservices development.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipeline, and other DevOps principles/best practices.
• Understanding of software development methodologies including waterfall and agile.
• Ability to leverage multiple tools and programming languages to analyze and manipulate data sets from disparate data sources.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams.
• Google Professional Data Engineer/Architect Certification.
• Experience with microservices and SOA.
