Staff Software Engineer, Analytics Usability

About the position

We're looking for a Staff Frontend Product Engineer to join the Analytics Usability team within Amplitude. You will be part of a passionate group of engineers helping modern businesses transform their products through data. As a Staff Frontend Product Engineer, you will be responsible for partnering closely with your team's Product Manager and Product Designer to ship best-in-class features for our Analytics product. Responsibilities

• Develop interactive, user-facing applications and websites
• Collaborate with Product Manager and Product Designer to deliver features
• Lead high leverage projects to drive business impact
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Continuously learn and grow in the field of web development
• Provide technical leadership within the engineering team

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience developing interactive, user-facing applications and websites
• Comprehensive frontend experience with React and Typescript/Javascript
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Exceptional communication skills and a track record of successful delivery/execution
• Constant desire to learn and grow in the field of web development
• Interest or experience in technical leadership of an engineering team

Nice-to-haves

• Backend experience writing web services with Node.js
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with front-end testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, etc.
