About the position

Traba is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Backend) to join its founding team and lead the development of core backend services and platform. This role involves making key architectural decisions, iterating on the product roadmap, and building a scalable tech platform to enhance productivity in the light industrial supply chain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-stack web applications and a passion for leveraging advanced technologies to empower businesses and workers.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the development of applications, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Own architecture decisions for the tech platform and advise on product and infrastructure decisions.
• Orchestrate CI/CD workflows using Docker & Github, driving efficiency through automated testing.
• Build analytics and monitoring to understand user experience and application health.
• Drive backend application performance measurement and optimization.
• Contribute to the founding team in various capacities to build the future of flexible light industrial staffing.

Requirements

• 7+ years experience with Typescript/Node.js or Python, RabbitMQ or Kafka, and PostgreSQL or equivalent.
• A track record of shipping amazing products and leading projects at scale with high velocity.
• Expertise in designing APIs.
• Experience with Docker, Github Actions, and Datadog.
• Experience working in an early-stage engineering team, navigating ambiguity, and being a self-starter.
• A passion for helping people find meaningful work.
