About the position

The position involves leading the development of iOS applications for an engineering company focused on building a top-tier engineering team. The role requires a strong sense of ownership and the ability to manage projects from inception to production, while collaborating with product and design teams to enhance the app based on customer feedback.

Responsibilities

• Design, lead, build and launch new products on Ramp's iOS App
• Drive the core product engineering roadmap and make important prioritization and scoping decisions
• Conduct code reviews, set engineering standards, mentor team members, and ensure quality
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to plan and identify key features for app success
• Work alongside product and business teams to understand customer feedback and improve the product continuously

Requirements

• 5 - 10 years of experience in mobile development, currently at staff level or above
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company
• Proficiency in Swift for iOS development
• Knowledge of iOS UI components and the iOS Developer Platform
• Experience contributing to at least one mobile app or several features that reached a large number of users
• Strong understanding of mobile design patterns and best practices
• Understanding of security best practices for mobile apps
• A minimum of 2 years of technical leadership experience leading and/or managing teams

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with mobile stack: SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency, The Composable Architecture, Bitrise
• Experience with web apps (React, JS, etc.)
• Experience with backend technologies (Python, Flask, SQL, OpenAPI, etc.)
• Experience managing apps with App Store Connect
