We are looking for a Mobile Engineering Lead to join Verily's mobile apps team. Verily's core strategy to advance precision health is by bridging the gap between research and care. Our team is responsible for Verily's flagship consumer product, delivering warm, personalized experiences for users. In this role, you will act as the technical lead for developing the next generation in precision health apps across both iOS and Android. You will be responsible for driving technical architecture across iOS and Android and owning the technical roadmap across several mobile development squads. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing junior engineers, and for sharing your expertise with the team.
Responsibilities
- Own the vision, design, and development of new mobile feature capabilities.
- Chart the roadmap for mobile app architecture across Android and iOS with support from individual platform teams.
- Lead the charge in implementation and set examples of best practices in modern mobile development.
- Collaborate with backend engineering teams to set technical direction and priorities.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure consistent delivery.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience in software engineering.
- 8+ years experience developing modern mobile applications.
- Experience setting technical direction for a team of engineers.
