About the position

The Staff Software Engineer - Real Time Systems at Anduril Industries is responsible for developing and integrating software capabilities that enhance military technology. This role focuses on building and deploying real-time systems that leverage advanced technologies such as AI, computer vision, and sensor fusion. The engineer will work collaboratively within a high-performing team to create infrastructure and platform services that enable rapid deployment of autonomous systems in various operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate model/software/hardware-in-the-loop components using first and third-party technologies.
• Build platform and infrastructure tooling to enhance the productivity of other software engineers.
• Collaborate with team members and partners in the autonomy domain to develop and deploy autonomous systems at scale.
• Work with customers to deliver novel software capabilities that meet their needs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working in C++.
• Experience working with customers to deliver software capabilities.
• Strong understanding of simulation, data management, compute infrastructure, and networking technologies.
• Ability to build platform and infrastructure tooling.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with programming languages such as C, Rust, Python, etc.
• 10+ years in an engineering setting, preferably in a startup or similar environment.
• Experience in real-time systems such as robotics, networking, and simulation.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle tools like version control and CI/CD systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and software infrastructure fundamentals.
