About the position

The Staff Software Engineer - Real Time Systems at Anduril Industries is responsible for developing and integrating advanced software capabilities for military applications. This role focuses on building and enhancing the Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that supports real-time command and control systems. The engineer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that are rapidly deployed in various operational environments, including the Southern border, Iraq, and Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate model/software/hardware-in-the-loop components using first and third-party technologies.
• Build platform and infrastructure tooling to enhance the productivity of other software engineers.
• Collaborate with team members and partners in the autonomy domain to develop and deploy autonomous systems at scale.
• Work with customers to deliver novel software capabilities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working in C++.
• Experience in delivering software capabilities to customers.
• Strong understanding of simulation, data management, compute infrastructure, and networking technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with programming languages such as C, Rust, Python, etc.
• 10+ years in an engineering setting, preferably in a startup or similar environment.
• Experience in real-time systems such as robotics, networking, and simulation.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle tools like version control and CI/CD systems.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and software infrastructure fundamentals.
