About the position

Qualtrics is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Reporting Platform in Seattle, responsible for reinventing the Dashboard experience using advanced technology and best engineering practices. This role involves both front-end and back-end development, impacting the performance and user experience of the Dashboard. The engineer will work collaboratively within a team to design and implement scalable solutions that address complex business problems, while also contributing to the professional development of colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable, fast, robust, and rich web-based methods to solve complex business problems using the latest front-end technologies and distributed system concepts.
  • Implement new features and optimize existing ones to drive maximum performance.
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings, collaborate with peers, prioritize features, and work with urgency to deliver value to customers.
  • Drive clarity in business and technical requirements and evolve them into technical designs.
  • Work with design and product teams to understand needs, propose features, create early prototypes, and transform them into exciting end consumer features.
  • Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications.
  • Contribute to the professional development of colleagues, improving their technical knowledge and engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in software engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in travel and expense-related systems (e.g., Spotnana, Concur).
  • Experience with the design and implementation of corporate travel programs or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in complex project management, including stakeholder engagement and change management.
  • Experience developing and operationalizing global category strategies for travel-related services.
  • Proven track record of achieving travel category savings via sourcing, demand management, and policy compliance.
  • Advanced negotiating skills.
  • Previous experience in a technology or software company.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, JD, or advanced degree in procurement-related field preferred.
