The Staff Software Security Engineer - Automation - Cloud Provisioning at ServiceNow is a pivotal role within the Cloud Platform group, focusing on building and maintaining Cloud Infrastructure Services and APIs. The engineer will be responsible for developing a platform that supports over 10,000 physical hosts, ensuring performance, reliability, scalability, and high availability.

Responsibilities

• Develop, build, and maintain a platform for large-scale Enterprise Applications with 10,000+ physical hosts
• Review and triage vulnerability findings
• Debug and test vulnerabilities
• Troubleshoot difficult production issues, such as memory leaks and network problems
• Utilize Linux command prompt for administration and shell scripting

Requirements

• 6+ years experience in DevOps building and maintaining a platform for large-scale Enterprise Applications
• Experience with using git to manage source code
• Expert-level skills with Ruby, Chef or Puppet
• Expert level understanding of Centos/RHEL OS and experience installing, maintaining, and designing services
• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies - OpenStack, AWS, or Azure
• Experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing relational databases including Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgresSQL
• Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies and systems quickly
• Demonstrated success working independently and as a team to complete complex projects on time
• Exceptional debugging, testing, and critical thinking & problem-solving skills
• Ability to deal with interruptions and adapt to changing priorities
