About the position

CT Consultants, a Verdantas Company, is seeking a talented Structural Engineer I to join their Cleveland, OH office. This entry-level position focuses on providing structural engineering designs for various types of structures, including municipal, industrial, commercial, and institutional projects. The role emphasizes teamwork, technical design, and compliance with building codes, while also offering a flexible work environment and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply building codes to determine load capacities for structural designs.
• Serve as a technical designer, developing complete structural engineering designs.
• Design municipal, industrial, commercial, institutional, and retail structures, including new buildings and renovations.
• Perform site observations and collect data for calculations and detailed reports.
• Prepare construction documents for simple projects with minimal guidance.
• Review shop drawings and coordinate with construction documents, addressing RFIs to keep projects on schedule.
• Monitor project budgets and performance of technical support services.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of related work experience.
• EIT certification and working towards a Professional Engineer License.
• Working knowledge of structural design software such as RAM Structural Systems, RAM Concept, and RISA.
• Modeling/drafting experience in Revit is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
