About the position

The Staff Subcontracts Administrator plays a crucial role in managing subcontracting requirements and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. This position involves collaboration with subcontract teammates and Program Managers to facilitate the completion of necessary documentation for subcontracts, assist in training, and maintain official subcontract files. The role also includes supporting subcontract negotiations and building positive relationships with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Subcontract teammates and Program Managers to determine subcontracting requirements and answer questions concerning the required subcontract type.
  • Accomplish tasks for subcontract closeouts.
  • Assist Requestors in filling out/creating the subcontract required documentation.
  • Create and maintain official subcontract files with all required backup documentation.
  • Assist Subcontract teammates in providing training to PMs and other division partners on subcontract requirements.
  • Provide support and/or requests for information to other corporate teammates, subcontractors, and auditors.
  • Support any additional subcontract negotiations required by modifications.
  • Ensure that the subcontract is consistent with legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations.
  • Prepare and disseminate information regarding subcontract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination.
  • Build positive relationships with division partners and subcontractors by maintaining excellent internal and external customer service standards.
  • Assist the ARA SBOL with creating Small Business reports for proposals and with Bi-Annual Small Business reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field plus two to four years of related experience, or eight to ten years of related experience without a degree.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience in FAR/DFAR requirements.
  • Federal subcontracting experience.
  • Understanding the basics of negotiation and development of contracts.
  • Ability to create and edit files in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage numerous subcontract request actions within specified due dates.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Deltek and/or CostPoint.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint.
