About the position

The Staff Technical Product Manager at Sunrun will lead the development of the Business Process Management & Workflow domain, focusing on delivering user-friendly products that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of business operations and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to launch and scale new products effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a product vision and strategy for Business Process Management / Workflow in support of Sunrun's overall goals and objectives
  • Lead the full product lifecycle, including discovery, requirements definition, prioritization, execution, roadmap development, and deprecation
  • Assess feature value and performance metrics in partnership with finance and business teams
  • Support requirements definition through wireframes, process flows, user stories, product briefs, and other supporting artifacts
  • Identify dependencies across teams and opportunities for consolidation to accelerate product time to value
  • Define and track key performance metrics to measure product and feature success and drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct user research leveraging various methodologies to gather insights and validate product concepts
  • Deliver an intuitive user experience that delights internal customers and enables expedient operational execution and triage
  • Drive cross-functional product roadmap alignment and decisions across business teams, products, and engineering
  • Clearly communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes across all levels of the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7-10 years of product management experience, with a focus on business process management, workflow, ordering & fulfillment, construction project management, or related areas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Understanding of customer-centric product design and development methodologies
  • Experience working in solar, construction, or renewable energy industry a plus
