We are seeking an experienced Staff Product Manager to lead the development of our Business Process Management & Workflow domain. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing highly interconnected work across multiple teams, ensuring the delivery of user-friendly products that streamline operations and enhance the customer experience. Your deep understanding of end-to-end business operations will be crucial as you launch and scale new products across various use cases and user groups. As a Staff Product Manager, you will develop a product vision and strategy that aligns with Sunrun's overall goals and objectives. You will lead the full product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements definition to prioritization, execution, roadmap development, and deprecation when necessary. Collaborating with finance and business teams, you will assess feature value and performance metrics, driving prioritization to achieve effective outcomes. Your role will also involve defining and tracking key performance metrics to measure product and feature success, ensuring continuous improvement. Customer focus is paramount in this position. You will conduct user research using various methodologies to gather insights and validate product concepts, delivering an intuitive user experience that delights internal customers and enables expedient operational execution. Additionally, you will drive cross-functional product roadmap alignment and decisions across business teams, products, and engineering, clearly communicating product plans, progress, and outcomes at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a product vision and strategy for Business Process Management / Workflow in support of Sunrun's overall goals and objectives
  • Lead the full product lifecycle, including discovery, requirements definition, prioritization, execution, roadmap development, and deprecation
  • Assess feature value and performance metrics in partnership with finance and business teams
  • Drive prioritization to achieve the most effective outcomes
  • Support requirements definition through wireframes, process flows, user stories, product briefs, and other supporting artifacts
  • Identify dependencies across teams and opportunities for consolidation to accelerate product time to value
  • Define and track key performance metrics to measure product and feature success and drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct user research leveraging various methodologies to gather insights and validate product concepts
  • Deliver an intuitive user experience that delights internal customers and enables expedient operational execution
  • Drive cross-functional product roadmap alignment and decisions across business teams, products, and engineering
  • Clearly and succinctly communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes across all levels of the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7-10 years of product management experience, with a focus on business process management, workflow, ordering & fulfillment, construction project management, or related areas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Understanding of customer-centric product design and development methodologies
  • Experience working in solar, construction, or renewable energy industry a plus
