About the position

The Staff Technical Product Manager at GE Renewable Energy is responsible for creating a strategic roadmap for products within the Digital Thread Engineer (DTE) platform. This role involves collaboration with product line leaders and peer product managers to ensure product consensus and reusability. The position requires managing product features, gathering requirements from stakeholders, and ensuring alignment across various teams, including development and UX.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic plans for new reusable components
  • Obtain a deep understanding of the personas utilizing the platform
  • Demonstrate excelling business acumen and knowledge of industry trends
  • Interact with customers/stakeholders for VOC requirements-gathering and product feedback
  • Possess a deep understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product
  • Collaborate with UX in design decisions and elaborate on personas
  • Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills for alignment between teams
  • Own the releases and sprint backlogs for MVPs and quarterly releases
  • Manage the backlog, ensuring readiness for sprints/iterations
  • Accountable for product cyber compliance and regulatory remediation plans
  • Continuously prioritize based on customer problems and needs
  • Demonstrate strategic skills in problem decomposition and navigating ambiguity
  • Engage frequently with the development team for discussions and clarifications
  • Translate unstructured work requests into actionable user stories
  • Partner with Development Leadership/Service Owners for a healthy development process
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Demonstrate expertise in Agile Methodology

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience, or an associate's degree with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience, or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 9 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Technical Product Management or IT
