About the position

Walmart is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager with extensive experience in software/application development project management. This role involves leading large-scale projects, driving execution of business plans, and effectively managing complex programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong Agile methodology knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguous situations while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple highly complex projects or large complex Care applications programs through their lifecycle phases to successful completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to track milestones and manage risks.
  • Coordinate production issue resolution and interpret data to guide teams towards issue resolution.
  • Present project status updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Build relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders to identify business needs and implement solutions.
  • Model compliance with company policies and support the company's mission and values.
  • Foster an environment that supports learning, innovation, and intelligent risk-taking.
  • Create a discipline around developing talent and empower associates to act in the best interest of the customer and company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 9+ years of technical project or program management experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years of experience.
  • Experience with Agile methods including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Enterprise software engineering program management experience for full SDLC.
  • Proficiency in using product backlog management tools like JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts in business terms using MS Office tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industry certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience in creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.
