About the position

Walmart is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager with extensive experience in software/application development project management. This role involves leading large-scale projects, driving execution across multiple business plans, and effectively managing risks and issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong Agile methodology knowledge and project management skills, ensuring seamless project execution while communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple highly complex projects or large complex Care applications programs through their lifecycle phases to successful completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to track milestones and manage project change control processes.
  • Coordinate production issue resolution and interpret data to guide teams towards issue resolution and risk management.
  • Build relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders to identify business needs and implement business solutions.
  • Model compliance with company policies and support the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Act as a servant leader, fostering an environment that supports learning, innovation, and intelligent risk-taking.
  • Create a discipline around developing talent and empower associates to act in the best interest of the customer and company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 9+ years of technical project or program management experience OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology with 7+ years of technical project or program management experience.
  • Experience with Agile methods including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Enterprise software engineering program management experience for full SDLC.
  • Experience using product backlog management tools like JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts in business terms using MS Office tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industry certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.
