About the position

The position involves managing multiple medium- to high-complexity programs within Walmart Global Tech, focusing on program planning, technical expertise, stakeholder management, and delivering results. The role requires a deep understanding of program management techniques, technical design, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The candidate will be responsible for defining goals, managing dependencies, and ensuring quality outcomes for new initiatives and modernization of existing technology stacks.

Responsibilities

  • Define goals, deliverables, schedules, and critical paths for managing multiple programs.
  • Independently secure commitment from teams and manage dependencies.
  • Resolve ambiguous situations and clarify program teams on technology solutions.
  • Identify synergies, overlaps, and waste for program tracks.
  • Provide inputs to improve ways of working and program execution.
  • Participate in end-to-end discussions for system/solution design.
  • Direct the identification and resolution of defects/bugs during testing processes.
  • Establish end-to-end delivery plans based on impacts and interdependencies.
  • Propose frameworks, tools, and methodologies to drive automation across initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of multiple projects against milestones and quality metrics.
  • Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders and core teams.
  • Engage with program stakeholders to align and share updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 5 years' experience in engineering, program management, or related area.
  • 7 years' experience in engineering, program management, or related area if no degree is held.
  • Knowledge of program management techniques, tools, and frameworks.
  • Technical expertise in software and hardware requirements, system design, and cloud technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Project Management.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration with specialization in strategy, supply chain, finance, or related area.
  • Experience in creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of accessibility best practices.
