About The Position

The Staff Therapist I provides clinical services to children and youth with illegal sexual behaviors and their families. This role involves delivering services via teletherapy, conducting assessments, formulating treatment plans, and providing counseling. The therapist will coordinate with a treatment team and may need to travel within the state to meet clients and collaborate with community partners.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work.
  • Must be licensure eligible in the State of Alabama.
  • Social work degree must be from a School of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
  • Persons providing direct treatment services to youth must be licensed or license eligible to practice in their professional discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience with children or youth with mental or behavior health diagnoses or court-involved children or youth.
  • Experience working with youth with problematic sexual behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services to clients via teletherapy on a HIPAA-compliant platform.
  • Complete assessments of children and youth.
  • Conduct risk assessments.
  • Help formulate and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to youth.
  • Coordinate work with a designated treatment team.
  • Travel within the state as necessary to meet with clients, families, and professionals.
