About the position

As a Staffing Consultant, you will play a crucial role in connecting job seekers with temporary and contract roles within various companies and organizations in your local market. This position encompasses the full cycle of recruiting, from sourcing candidates to their placement. Your daily activities will involve engaging in conversations with job seekers through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings. Building strong relationships with candidates is essential, as you will coach them through every step of the job search process. This includes providing tips for resume editing, offering interview pointers, and conducting post-interview breakdowns to help them accept new positions successfully. In addition to candidate engagement, you will collaborate with your team to discuss open positions, post job advertisements, and learn to utilize online sourcing tools and resources effectively. Success in this role requires resourcefulness, strong personal initiative, and an exceptional ability to judge character. You will be responsible for not only finding good candidates but also selecting the right individuals from a pool of applicants and matching them with suitable companies and work environments. This is a relationship-focused sales position, where your effort directly correlates with your results. Each day, you will hold yourself accountable to your goals and work diligently to build your book of business. Your daily tasks will include identifying prospective candidates through job board searches, LinkedIn, internet searches, referrals, and professional networking. You will post jobs on various job boards, interview candidates, prepare them for interviews with client companies, and manage the offer process for successful candidates. Additionally, you will maintain contact with candidates who are on assignment to ensure they have everything they need to succeed in their roles.

Responsibilities

  • Identify prospective candidates via job board search tools, LinkedIn, internet searches, referrals, and professional networking.
  • Post jobs on job boards.
  • Interview prospective candidates.
  • Prepare candidates for interviews with client companies by reviewing resumes, discussing client needs, and conducting mock interviews.
  • Contact candidates post-interview to recap the interview and provide next steps.
  • Extend job offers and manage the offer process for candidates.
  • Reach out to candidates who are on assignment to ensure they have everything they need.
