About the position

Consolidated Medical Staffing is seeking a Staffing Coordinator / Onboarding Specialist for its Chattanooga branch. This full-time role involves managing staffing patterns, onboarding new employees, and ensuring compliance with HR regulations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong communication skills, and have a background in human resources and medical staffing. Responsibilities

  • Establish staffing patterns and manage schedules for all branch medical staff.
  • Assist in securing staff for absences and adjust schedules as required.
  • Ensure client's schedules are covered and accurately documented in the HR/Scheduling system.
  • Manage a high volume of incoming calls and place outgoing calls to staff for open client shifts.
  • Build sustainable relationships with clients and medical staff.
  • Review employee time and attendance reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Advise the Branch Manager of staffing needs and terminations.
  • Consult with the Branch Manager to understand requirements for vacant positions.
  • Screen and interview qualified candidates for open positions.
  • Check candidates' references and verify experience and backgrounds.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee credentials and complete new hire paperwork.
  • Verify I-9 documentation via E-Verify and maintain I-9 files.
  • Manage new-employee background checks and drug tests.
  • Create and distribute employee ID badges and maintain new-employee files.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in human resources.
  • Experience in medical staffing preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of EEO, ADA, and related employment laws.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Computer literacy in operating systems, office suites, and spreadsheets.
  • Adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
