About the position

The Staffing Specialist at HealthTrust Workforce Solutions plays a crucial role in managing staffing activities, collaborating with facility management staff, and implementing disciplinary action plans. This position is essential for ensuring that staffing needs are met efficiently while promoting teamwork and minimizing costs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily staffing with designated facilities by anticipating and scheduling needs with the Staffing Coordinator, Nurse Managers, and Nursing Supervisors.
• Contact facilities regarding progress toward filling outstanding staffing needs.
• Ensure approval is obtained for all overtime booked by HWS or local agency and document approval in the Workforce system.
• Coordinate confirmation processes timely and accurately, ensuring all personnel and agencies are contacted if shifts are canceled.
• Anticipate and provide resolutions to issues based on customer needs and expectations.
• Confirm all HWS shifts over outside vendor candidates to help with cost reduction.
• Channel concerns appropriately through the chain of command and deal with conflict in a private manner.
• Maintain confidentiality and appropriate access to all employee information.
• Participate in special projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience required; staffing experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work well within a team environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to learn new software programs.
