About the position

The Stage Manager for the National Tour with StarQuest Dance Competition is a dynamic role that combines leadership, logistical management, and guest experience enhancement. This position is not typical for a Stage Manager, as it involves physically demanding tasks, managing local crews, and creating memorable experiences for a large cast of performers. The Stage Manager will work closely with Event Directors to ensure seamless execution of live, unscripted shows while maintaining a positive and energetic environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage load-ins and load-outs of equipment and performers.
• Create a fun and streamlined backstage environment for 500-1,000 performers.
• Lead and coordinate local crew during events.
• Develop schedules for events 3-4 weeks in advance.
• Ensure a seamless execution of live shows under pressure.
• Provide a great experience for guests of all ages.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a leadership role within the field.
• Strong logistical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Mastery of time management and multitasking.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments.
• Physical ability to load and carry heavy equipment.
• Ability to thrive on little to no sleep.
