About the position

The Stage Manager for the National Tour of StarQuest Dance Competition plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for performers and guests alike. This position involves not only managing the logistics of each event but also fostering a positive and energetic backstage environment. The Stage Manager will work closely with Event Directors and local crews to deliver a high-quality, live, unscripted show across various cities, while also handling the physical demands of load-ins and load-outs.

Responsibilities

• Manage load-ins and load-outs of equipment and materials.
• Create a fun and streamlined backstage environment for performers.
• Lead and coordinate local crew members during events.
• Work closely with Event Directors to ensure smooth operations.
• Develop schedules for events 3-4 weeks in advance.
• Maintain a positive attitude and energy during high-pressure situations.
• Ensure a memorable experience for guests of all ages.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a leadership role within the field.
• Strong public speaking and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to physically handle heavy equipment and perform load-ins/outs.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and logistical skills.
