About the position

The Stage Production Manager at the CFA at Wesley Chapel High School is responsible for performing advanced level work and overall stage management in support of stage productions. This role encompasses a variety of technical tasks including lighting design and operation, sound system configuration, set construction, and stage management. The individual will be involved in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of stage lighting instruments, ensuring that all lighting and sound systems are configured and operational for productions. This includes the operation of light boards, followspots, microphones, speakers, and control equipment, as well as the repair and maintenance of audio systems. In addition to these responsibilities, the Stage Production Manager will oversee the construction of sets and props, utilizing skills in theatrical carpentry and rigging. The role requires the ability to manage stage operations efficiently, including calling cues for audio and lighting, and coordinating the work of other stage staff. The individual will also be expected to program and patch audio and lighting cues, design and implement lighting and audio plots according to client specifications, and work with video projectors and matrices for multimedia projects. This position demands a high level of independence and the ability to delegate tasks effectively to ensure the successful completion of projects assigned by the technical director.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced level work in stage management for productions.

  • Manage stage operations, including calling cues for audio and lighting.
  • Oversee and coordinate work performed by other stage staff.
  • Program and patch audio and lighting cues as needed.
  • Design and implement lighting and audio plots according to client specifications.
  • Work with video projectors and matrices for multimedia projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Professional or college level technical experience in stage management or related field.
