About the position

The Wyoming STARBASE Academy is seeking two Teacher Aide positions responsible for assisting classroom instructors with daily lesson preparation and delivery. These roles may require stepping in as an instructor when the full-time teacher is absent, ensuring the effective implementation of the STARBASE curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Assist Certified Teachers with classroom supervision and instruction.
• Step in as an instructor if the full-time teacher is absent.
• Provide support and reinforcement for teachers and lessons.
• Help with lesson preparation, including collecting materials and setting up.
• Give extra help to students who need special accommodations or who are struggling.
• Assist in the creation, planning, and implementation of STARBASE curriculum.
• Adhere to state, facility, and federal guidelines related to education programs.
• Assist Outreach Coordinator with after school 2.0 program as a mentor.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree (typically in Education).
• 0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Education or Instruction) OR 2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Education or Instruction) as a substitute for education.

Nice-to-haves

• At least two years of successful experience working with children and/or STEM.
• Knowledge of teaching, training, research, making presentations, testing, and other instructional methods.
• Knowledge of science, mathematics, and technology.
• Knowledge of 3D printing and creation of projects using a 3D printer.
