About The Position

As a Starbucks Barista at the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel, you will create memorable experiences for guests by providing fast and friendly customer service, preparing high-quality Starbucks beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming work environment. This part-time role is essential in delivering exceptional hospitality and ensuring guest satisfaction at this historic Nebraska landmark.

Requirements

  • No prior experience required, but prior Barista experience is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain any required food permits.
  • Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout continuously to perform essential job functions.
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a point of sale system and cash register.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to inform and direct guests to events throughout the hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately collect payments and distribute change, operate a cash register, and provide fast and friendly customer service.
  • Prepare Starbucks beverages consistently to standard for all customers.
  • Maintain the condition and cleanliness of the work area and perform general cleaning tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Ensure good speaking skills, maintain composure, and practice good etiquette while interacting with guests.
  • Comply with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments, cash drawer, and house bank management.
  • Follow all Marcus Hotels and Resorts policies and procedures, Marriott Standards, and Information Protection procedures.
