Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and return visits.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department.
  • Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and achieve store goals.
  • Prepare beverage selections according to recipes and customer requests.
  • Tender transactions using company best practices.
  • Offer product samples to customers to help them discover new items.
  • Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size.
  • Recommend coffee shop items to customers based on their needs.
  • Use all coffee shop equipment according to company guidelines.
  • Check product quality and review 'sell by' dates.
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
  • Report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures.
  • Practice preventive maintenance on equipment and report issues.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents and safety risks.
