About the position

As a Starbucks Barista at Target, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing quality handcrafted beverages and food. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the Starbucks area is inviting and well-maintained, while also adhering to food safety standards and operational processes. You will be part of a team that prioritizes guest needs and works collaboratively to create a welcoming environment. Your day-to-day tasks will involve executing food and beverage processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and engaging with guests to exceed their expectations. You will also be responsible for monitoring food quality and freshness, following state and federal food safety guidelines, and completing all required training related to quality control. This position offers the opportunity to develop skills in guest service, food safety, and operational efficiency, all while working in a fun and energetic environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by connecting with guests and providing quality handcrafted beverages and food.
• Uphold and maintain the execution of Food and Beverage Standards, Starbucks brand standards, and food safety standards.
• Execute food and beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, stocking, and cleaning tasks.
• Maintain awareness of promotional activities within Starbucks and ensure accurate in-stocks.
• Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to fulfill digital guest orders accurately and on time.
• Create a welcoming dining area for guests and engage with them to meet their expectations.
• Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items as outlined in best practices.
• Follow proper packaging and labeling guidelines for food products and ensure compliance with food safety requirements.
• Identify and process damaged, recalled, or expired items according to best practices.
• Engage with guests in a genuine way and provide assistance based on their needs.

Requirements

• Previous Starbucks or food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
