About the position
The position is responsible for preparing coffee shop beverages and food, operating the cash register, and providing excellent customer service. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare coffee shop beverages according to set standards.
- Prepare food items following established procedures.
- Ensure food and beverages are handled safely and in a clean environment.
- Operate cash register to process customer payments efficiently.
- Stock items and rotate coffee items and merchandise displays.
- Maintain knowledge of current store programs and product locations.
- Notify department lead or manager of product and supply needs.
- Comply with company policies regarding security and cash handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked department following safety and sanitation standards.
- Communicate company programs and promotions to customers.
- Follow all PPE and safety guidelines and food safety expectations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- One year of retail or related experience preferred.
- Good verbal communication skills for effective customer interaction.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
