Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and return visits.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
  • Maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and make suggestions to customers.
  • Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and achieve store goals.
  • Prepare beverage selections according to recipes and customer requests using proper equipment.
  • Tender transactions following company best practices.
  • Offer product samples to customers and inform them of coffee shop specials.
  • Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size to prevent shrink.
  • Recommend coffee shop items to customers to meet their needs.
  • Use kitchen equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
  • Check product quality for freshness and review sell-by dates.
  • Report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents and report safety risks.
