About the position

As a Starbucks Barista at Target, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing quality handcrafted beverages and food. This position involves ensuring product freshness, maintaining food safety standards, and executing food and beverage processes efficiently. You will be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes guest service and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by connecting with guests and prioritizing their needs.
• Uphold and maintain the execution of Food and Beverage Standards and Starbucks brand standards.
• Execute food and beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, and inventory management.
• Maintain awareness of promotional activities within Starbucks.
• Support the Starbucks Drive Up process for accurate digital order fulfillment.
• Maintain an inviting dining area for guests.
• Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards.
• Produce items to specifications and follow department routines.
• Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items as outlined in best practices.
• Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined in best practices.
• Follow proper packaging and labeling guidelines for food products.
• Locate and identify damaged, recalled, or expired items and process them accordingly.
• Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders as needed.
• Follow proper perishable inventory procedures for accurate recording.
• Execute sampling best practices and create a welcoming experience for guests.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.

Requirements

• Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate technology equipment as directed.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
