About the position

The Starbucks Supervisor at Wind Creek Chicago Southland is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Starbucks outlet, ensuring exceptional guest service, and managing personnel effectively to achieve operational goals. This role involves implementing training programs, maintaining cost control, and enhancing the overall Starbucks experience for guests. The supervisor will also support casino initiatives and ensure compliance with established standards.

Responsibilities

  • Train and hold partners accountable for delivering legendary customer service.
  • Implement programs for operational improvements and cost control.
  • Develop and administer customer service training programs.
  • Ensure outstanding service to VIP guests and during special events.
  • Administer controls for all phases of the assigned outlet.
  • Implement cost control procedures and standards of performance.
  • Counsel, guide, train, and instruct assigned personnel.
  • Assist in developing procedures, formats, budgets, and documentation.
  • Address customer complaints and take corrective action as needed.
  • Oversee personnel changes and recommend actions regarding hiring and promotions.
  • Maintain knowledge of daily promotions and scheduled events.
  • Complete interim and annual performance evaluations on time.
  • Ensure sufficient inventories are maintained.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled in a GED program.
  • Associate's Degree in a related field required.
  • Two years' supervisory experience required.
  • One year experience as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a Wind Creek Hospitality F&B Department required.
  • Two years' experience in the hiring position's Department required.
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Two years' supervisory experience in a restaurant or designer coffee retailer required.
  • Three years of customer service experience in retail or restaurant environment required.
  • Must successfully complete Starbucks Training and Barista Certification.
  • Experience in multi-shift, complex organizations; problem-solving and decision-making ability required.
  • Extensive knowledge of food products and service techniques required.
  • Familiarity with financial data and cost control techniques required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, team building, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks with minimal direction required.
  • Ability to compile, compute, and analyze data for reports required.
  • Ability to work with computer-based time and attendance systems required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to forty pounds.
