About the position

The Links at Spruce Creek is seeking part-time Starters / Rangers to ensure a smooth and enjoyable golfing experience for players. This role involves greeting players, maintaining pace of play, enforcing club policies, and assisting with course management. The position offers flexible scheduling and golfing privileges in a beautiful and well-maintained environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet all players by name and ensure they are properly registered.
• Maintain pace of play and assist players as needed.
• Enforce club rules and regulations, including dress code and cart regulations.
• Patrol the course in review order and post course condition signs as necessary.
• Keep extra supplies on hand, such as towels, pencils, scorecards, and sand for divots.
• Assist starters in managing tee times and pairing players as needed.
• Monitor course cleanliness and check restrooms for supplies.
• Communicate with maintenance and the golf shop regarding course conditions and player flow.

Requirements

• Understanding of basic golf principles and pace of play management.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a pleasant manner.
• Excellent people skills.
• Integrity beyond reproach.
