About the position

As a Solutions Architect for AWS Startups, you will serve as a key technical leader and trusted advisor to startup customers, helping them design and implement scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions on the AWS platform. Your role will involve collaborating with customers to understand their business goals and technical requirements, leading technical discussions, and showcasing the value of AWS services through proof-of-concepts and reference architectures. You will also contribute to the growth of the AWS startup ecosystem by participating in workshops and events.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with startup customers to understand their technical requirements, business objectives, and growth plans, and then architect AWS-based solutions that align with their goals.
• Lead technical discussions, present best practices, and guide startups on AWS architecture, services, and solutions to ensure scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, and Support to provide comprehensive solutions to startups, addressing their specific needs and driving successful outcomes.
• Design and implement proof-of-concepts (POCs) and reference architectures to showcase the value of AWS services and demonstrate their potential impact on the customer's business.
• Stay up-to-date with AWS services, industry trends, and best practices, share this knowledge within the team, and drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Participate in workshops, webinars, and events to evangelize AWS solutions for startups and contribute to the growth of the AWS startup ecosystem.

Requirements

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
