About the position

The State Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing all operational functions for the organization in Connecticut. This role involves developing and implementing policies and procedures, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. The director will collaborate with department heads and senior management to drive operational excellence and achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Supervise and mentor staff members to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Monitor and assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to drive cross-functional initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at meetings and events with government officials and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • Drive operational efficiency and cost savings initiatives.
  • Lead special projects as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of state regulations and compliance requirements.
