About the position
Foth is currently seeking a team-focused and results-oriented professional engineer with the desire to cultivate and advance Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and county agency relationships from our Minneapolis, MN location. At Foth, with our strong emphasis on our clients and teamwork, this opportunity will cater to a client-minded State DOT Market Leader.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical engineering, quality assurance/control, and project management activities for MnDOT and county design and construction projects
- Support growth and development of the DOT market by creating statements of qualifications, proposals, and presentations; conducting contract negotiations; and participating in professional organizations, advertising, and tradeshows
- Serve as the client contact for multiple project managers and other DOT relationships
- Deliver projects within budget, schedule, and contractual commitments
- Negotiate change orders to the scope of work with the client and subcontractors
- Work closely with relevant permitting agencies
- Develop technical reports, feasibility studies, and engineering designs
- Provide construction administration as needed
- Lead, coordinate, and build client teams
- Establish objectives and provide performance feedback for team members
- Participate in recruiting activities by attending professional networking events and college career fairs
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Minnesota
- Minimum five years of experience managing projects and client relationships
- Minimum five years of experience working in the civil engineering consulting industry
