About the position

Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) is seeking a collaborative, analytical, and strategic State Portfolio Manager to join our growing finance team. This role is pivotal in managing supplier relations and ensuring that supplier contract commitments are met. The State Portfolio Manager will work closely with internal teams, particularly the sales teams, to develop and implement programs that drive business growth. This position requires effective communication of supplier goals and the development of tracking mechanisms for key supplier programs, ensuring that the sales force is well-informed and aligned with supplier objectives. In this role, the State Portfolio Manager will be responsible for developing brand plan calendars and incentives aimed at driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Regular updates and maintenance of sales forecasts for key brands and suppliers will be essential to ensure that inventory levels are adequate to support various programs. The manager will also oversee Pre-Sells, Holiday VAP orders, and Allocated Items, managing POS orders to support market programs and coordinating the setup and launch of new items across all sales divisions. Additionally, the State Portfolio Manager will coordinate and manage supplier review meetings, providing written recaps and communicating follow-up steps both internally and externally. Regular market surveys with Sales Management and Supplier Partners will be conducted to monitor program execution and identify market opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal teams to manage supplier relations and contract commitments.
  • Work with Sales teams to confirm supplier sales goals and develop tracking on key supplier programs.
  • Develop brand plan calendars and incentives to drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Update and maintain sales forecasts on key brands and suppliers to ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Manage Pre-Sells, Holiday VAP orders, and Allocated Items for the assigned portfolio.
  • Coordinate and manage supplier review meetings, providing written recaps and follow-up steps.
  • Survey the market with Sales Management and Supplier Partners to monitor program execution and identify opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • Six or more years of related sales management experience, preferably in the alcoholic beverage industry.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations to top management and public groups.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Must attain a current alcoholic beverage permit or license as required by state law.
