About the position

The Global Markets Professional Development Program (GM PDP) at State Street is a full-time career opportunity designed to provide strategic and comprehensive training across our Sales, Trading, and Research business lines. This program is tailored specifically for State Street Global Markets, as we require distinct and diverse skill sets to help drive our global sales, trading, and business lines. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to participate in up to four assignments across Global Markets, with each assignment lasting six months. This structure is intended to accelerate the development of critical knowledge, skills, and experience in the financial markets. The program begins with an intensive orientation at our offices in Boston, where participants will gain foundational knowledge about State Street Global Markets. Each assignment is designed to provide key learning and growth opportunities, allowing candidates to develop a deeper understanding of the various aspects of our business. Participants will have access to training courses on financial markets, sponsorship for the CFA, and essential business skills, all aimed at enhancing their professional development. Prospective candidates should be graduating in December 2024 or May 2025 and possess a strong interest in the global capital markets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and exhibit a strong passion for learning and commitment to career development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with outstanding interpersonal skills, are essential for success in our collegial and collaborative work environment. Exceptional emotional intelligence (EQ) is also a key attribute we seek in candidates.

Responsibilities

Requirements
