About the position
Allied Healthcare is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) for flexible per diem work opportunities in the Yellow Springs, OH area. The role involves providing essential care to residents in a nursing facility, ensuring their comfort and assisting with daily needs while maintaining accurate records and collaborating with nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Record resident information accurately on charts and flow sheets.
- Notify the Nurse Supervisor of any changes in residents' conditions or incidents immediately.
- Ensure residents are comfortable and assist with their daily needs (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming).
- Follow established policies and perform tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Collaborate with other staff to maintain quality nursing services.
- Report any complaints from residents.
- Participate in nursing reports at the start of your shift.
- Assist residents with oral care and personal hygiene.
- Help with toileting and mobility needs.
- Prepare residents for medical tests and assist with transportation.
- Monitor and record residents' food and fluid intake.
- Attend training sessions to maintain certification.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant license.
- Valid BLS Certification (must be from the American Heart Association).
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility.
