About the position

As a Station Manager at Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of our facility in Humble, TX. This position is integral to ensuring the smooth flow of communication between various teams, including Haulers, Delivery Teams, Flatbed Drivers, the Call Center, and Local Client Management Teams. You will be responsible for maintaining an on-site presence to ensure that all procedures are followed by the Haulers and Delivery Teams, which is essential for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include recruiting and processing Haulers, as well as monitoring their performance to ensure that they meet the company's standards. Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors will also be a key part of your role, as will addressing any shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and in-home damage claims. You will interface directly with end customers to ensure effective in-home delivery, which is vital for maintaining our high customer service standards. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining monthly operation reports that include important statistics and customer service scores. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to various challenges that may arise in the logistics and distribution process. You will also be expected to perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the facility and the company.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate flow for communication between Haulers, Delivery Teams, Flatbed Drivers, Call Center, and Local Client Management Teams.
  • Provide on-site presence on a daily, weekly, or bi-weekly basis to ensure Haulers/Delivery Teams are following procedures.
  • Oversee recruiting, processing, and performance of Haulers.
  • Develop and maintain relations with vendors.
  • Ensure follow-up on shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and in-home damage claims.
  • Interface with end customers to ensure effective in-home delivery for customers.
  • Maintain monthly operation reports that include statistics and customer service scores.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Final Mile Manager/Warehouse Management experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent mathematical skills, with the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to analyze technical and scientific journals as they pertain to the business and market.
  • Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities to deal with a variety of problems and come up with creative solutions.
