About the position

The Station Operator is responsible for overseeing all activities within assigned pipeline facilities, focusing on safety, security, and operational efficiency. This role involves managing product movements, ensuring compliance with operating procedures, and performing equipment maintenance and repairs. The Station Operator plays a crucial role in monitoring equipment, maintaining records for compliance, and participating in project planning to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for safety, security, and efficient operation of product movement at Pipeline facilities
  • Maintain maintenance requirements to maximize equipment availability and reliability
  • Support equipment installation and repairs, perform general day-to-day activities, and maintain related code compliance on equipment
  • Maintain Operator Qualifications to operate assets/equipment, monitor flow, pressure, inventory, metering, etc.
  • Read and perform routine equipment checks
  • Perform regulatory required inspections of facility, environment, and equipment
  • Comply with all Partnership and regulatory required procedures
  • Read and understand flow, piping and instrumentation drawings and schematics
  • Participate in facility project planning to maximize operational efficiency
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment including shift rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Support existing call-out/on-call requirements and adapt to meet additional Partnership needs as required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Capable of compliance with Partnership and regulatory policies
  • Team oriented, self-motivated, and flexible
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving habits
  • Capable of self-directed work, planning, and organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous work background in related industrial environment
  • Experience/certifications for safe driving, work permits, confined space entry, energy isolation, excavation safety, and electrical safety
  • Petroleum measurement experience such as metering, proving, hand lining, and BS&W verification
  • Proficiency with computers including HMI, SAP, MS Office applications such as Excel and Outlook
