About the position

Hearst Television in Charlotte, North Carolina is looking for a Station Specialist to join our Ad Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing orders, preparing daily logs, and completing general ad operations responsibilities. Your primary focus will be to provide support and solutions to sales team members and sales management at stations in assigned markets. You will report directly to the Ad Operations Manager, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include the maintenance, assignment, and processing of traffic instruction files from agencies and advertisers. You will prepare and maintain on-air logs through careful management of commercial inventory, maximizing both revenue and inventory for a group of stations. This position requires innovative problem-solving skills to achieve station goals, as well as the ability to print and export daily program logs for the stations. Additionally, you will help implement HTV Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in our operations. The ideal candidate will be organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to analyze large quantities of data and identify important trends. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be working collaboratively with all levels of the organization. You must be a team player, able to work calmly against deadlines, and be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with the WideOrbit Traffic System is a plus, but training will be provided. Related military experience will also be considered.
