About the position
The Statistical Assistants / Data Analyst position at IIT involves compiling and analyzing data to support program evaluations and financial forecasting. The role requires proficiency in statistical analysis software and the ability to summarize findings for research and program staff. This is a contract position with an estimated length of 24 months, working Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Responsibilities
- Compiling data and conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses using Excel and other Statistical Analysis software.
- Summarizing financial data that support statistical modeling for the forecasting of monthly and annual program participant caseload and expenditures.
- Monitoring macroeconomic indicators such as long-term unemployment and the Consumer Price Index for informing the interpretation of program participant caseload and expenditure trends.
- Writing summaries of statistical analyses for research and program staff.
Requirements
- Experience with logic models for program evaluation.
- Experience completing statistical analyses using SAS software.
- Mapping of geospatial data using Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS) software.
- Experience working in a Federally funded nutrition program, such as WIC.
- Experience working in a government setting.
