About the position

The Statistical Programmer II at Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) plays a crucial role in advancing oncology treatments through data analysis and programming. This position involves creating and validating datasets, ensuring the accuracy and quality of programming outputs, and leading programming efforts for clinical trials. The role is integral to the success of clinical studies, requiring collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create, review and approve annotated CRF to SDTM datasets.
  • Translate the SAP into programming specifications for ADaM datasets.
  • Review and provide input on key study-related documents produced by other functions.
  • Develop, review, validate, and execute SAS programs to generate standard and non-standard datasets.
  • Generate presentation-ready outputs (Tables, Figures, and Listings) as defined in the statistical analysis plan.
  • Write and validate study and product-level macros and utilities.
  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness of all work completed for the project.
  • Program the integration of databases from multiple studies or sources.
  • Build and monitor quality in every aspect of job activities.
  • Communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary project team and external resources.
  • Function as Lead Programmer on one or more clinical trials.
  • Provide project deliverable oversight, guidance, and direction to the programming team.
  • Ensure all programming activities on the study adhere to required standards.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Industrial and Human Factors Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • One year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Experience with Base SAS Functions and Procedures.
  • Experience with SAS / SQL, SAS / Macro, SAS / STAT.
  • Familiarity with CDISC SDTM / ADAM Standards Define.xml.
  • Experience working with SAS Software.
