About the position

The Statistical Programmer at TK-CHAIN LLC is responsible for extracting, manipulating, summarizing, analyzing, and presenting clinical data using SAS and SQL. This role requires expertise in statistical programming, particularly in the context of clinical trials, and involves creating submission-ready data presentations and datasets. The programmer will work closely with supervisors and clients to ensure quality deliverables and adherence to timelines, while also providing mentorship to junior programmers.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, manipulate, summarize, analyze, and present data using SAS procedures.
  • Create submission-ready standard and non-standard data presentations and datasets.
  • Conduct programming activities associated with interim analysis, QC, eSub, etc.
  • Develop and run production or QC programs.
  • Review tables/listings, edit checks output, and programming documentation to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Write complete and concise technical documents such as Lists of Tables and QC plans.
  • Plan work to meet delivery timelines, allowing time for internal QC.
  • Balance conflicting priorities with supervisors and clients.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior programmers.
  • Coordinate work on multiple projects according to priorities.
  • Suggest improvements to standard work processes and promote the use of established standards.

Requirements

  • Expertise in SAS procedures, including SAS/MACRO and SAS/BASE.
  • Strong experience in clinical data and medical dictionaries.
  • Knowledge of relational database principles and programming in a Linux environment.
  • Understanding of clinical trials and data collection processes.
  • Experience with CDARS is preferable.
  • Ability to draft programming requirements from statistical analysis plans.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for discussing analytical methods.

  • Master's degree in Statistics or a related field.
  • Experience leading programming teams and projects.
  • Proven ability to propose and implement solutions to technical coding issues.
