The Statistical & Research Analyst position at the University of South Carolina is designed to meet the increasing demand for data management, coordination, and analysis within the Arnold School of Public Health. This full-time role will focus on ensuring the accuracy of research data, maintaining the integrity of research projects, and performing data analyses of various study variables. The analyst will coordinate SDM Core data activities, which involve utilizing a range of data collection instruments, including questionnaires, structured interviews, and objective measurement devices. The position requires regular collaboration with investigators, data engineers, and project statisticians to ensure that research objectives are met efficiently and effectively. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for running scripts in R software to process data for multiple NIH grant projects, monitoring incoming data files to confirm their processing, and conducting quality control checks to ensure compliance with specified standards. The analyst will also coordinate with research project personnel during weekly and monthly meetings to stay updated on changes to incoming data and any issues that arise with processed data. Additionally, the analyst will serve as a liaison between research project personnel and the SDM core, reporting any issues and changes during meetings. The position also involves analyzing research data and assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and publications. The analyst will compile and present project progress reports to research project personnel, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of the project's status and any necessary adjustments.
