Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct research and analysis on risk and likelihood of payment and reporting noncompliance.
  • Develop new metrics, models, and algorithms for measuring risk.
  • Conduct inferential and predictive statistical analyses to explore data and test hypotheses.
  • Leverage expertise in programming languages such as R, Python, SAS, or SQL for advanced analyses.
  • Utilize data visualization software like Microsoft Power BI or Tableau to present findings.
  • Create and update analytical process flows in software such as Alteryx, Snowflake, or SAS.
  • Translate complex concepts and findings into plain language for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree with 15 semester hours in statistics and additional coursework in related fields, or a combination of education and experience in statistical work.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level, including research and application of statistical techniques.
  • Experience in developing statistical models and providing training or guidance on statistical methods.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with earned value management.
  • Familiarity with financial analysis techniques.
