About the position

IvyMax Academy is seeking a part-time Statistics Teacher to provide high-quality instruction in AP Statistics. The role involves preparing students for admission to top-tier universities by delivering engaging lessons and fostering a positive learning environment. The teacher will be responsible for curriculum development, classroom management, and student support, ensuring that students build strong fundamentals and test-taking strategies.

Responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of AP Statistics
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions
• Prepare course materials, such as syllabus, homework assignments, and handouts
• Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students
• Select and obtain materials such as textbooks, with the help of center staff members and the management team
• Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching issues
• Positively reinforce student self-confidence and self-esteem
• Be organized and well-prepared for every lecture

Requirements

• 4-year undergraduate degree (BA, BS) or higher related to the subject
• 2+ years of direct teaching/tutoring experience
• Must have reliable transportation
• Available weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends
